A Layout!

Do I sound surprised?!  YES!  This is the first layout I've done in a looooong time that I created, just to create!  Not for a design team obligation, not for stamp club or for a layout workshop.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing all of those things.  And, yes, I'm still getting scrap stuff done to put in my scrapbooks, but I was free to use whatever the heck i wanted on this layout!  I painted some old chipboard circles and used my Cricut for the title and some Sassafrass paper I've had for a year.

Pictures are of Micah and her bible class, Kids of the Kingdom, this school year.  I used a Sketchabilities sketch, yes, Cardabilities sister blog!

{studio b} photography & design blog

Well, I guess it's time to make an unofficial "official" announcement.....I have decided to try my hand at a photography and design business.  My ultimate goal is to do photography full time.  After taking the photography class this past semester, I have realized that taking pictures of people's outsides, instead of their insides, is what I want to do!  (for those of you who don't know, I am a Radiologic Technologist aka x-ray tech!)

The design part of the business would be making digital invitations and announcements, with or without pictures. All of this is explained on my new blog {studio b} photography & design.  There is also a link to it on the sidebar of this blog underneath the big picture of the camera.

If you have any questions, please email me at kellybirrell75@yahoo.com.

Enjoy Every Moment

And yet another digi layout I did at the Dubois crop a couple of weekends ago.  PageMaps sketch.  I really really love this layout.  Don't know why.  Photo is of my sister-in-law, Jeanne, and McKenna taken on our vacation to Tennessee back in March for spring break.  We were all so grateful that Aunt Jeanne could be with us on the trip, even if it was for a couple of days.

I used 3 different "stamp" sets and the Write Stuff "paper".  The awesome thing about digital is that I never run out of this stuff!!!  WooHoo!!!  Sorry, can't help but put a plug in for My Digital Studio! ;)

Rock On!!

Yes, another layout I did while at the Dubois Crop.  Night and Day "paper" and fun "stamps"!  I even ventured out and tried using the hodgepodge hardware which I LOVE!!  This digi stuff is totally kickin' my butt, it's so flippin' cool!!!  I can't wait to get these printed out.

More pics from our vacay in the Smoky Mountains in March.  We ate at the Hard Rock for supper one night.  The girls, being the hams they are, were awesome posers.  They make my job behind the camera way too easy.  All I have to do is click away.  They take care of everything else.

A Day in the Mountains

Here's one of the digital layouts i got done while at the Dubois crop a couple of weekends ago!  I love just taking my computer to crops and not having to decide what I'm going to work on and lugging a bunch of stinkin' supplies that I probably won't even use to crops!  That's one of the beautiful things about scrapping digital!!!!  I still can't believe I even said that....I still LOVE scrapping with paper and adhesive, but it belongs in my scrap room, it's home just for all my wonderful supplies!

So, anyway, these pictures were taken on our recent trip to the Smoky Mountains back in March.  This is a PageMaps sketch, modified a bit, though.  TFL!

Butterfly punch

Another card we did at Stamp Club for April using only patterned paper and the awesome butterfly punch.  Tried the lace technique on this, too.  Not sure if I'm a fan of that or not.  I'll have to keep playing with it.  TFL!
