Last card from Stamp Club!

Last, but certainly not least, is this little cutie!

We used Close to Cocoa, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock. We used the adorable little stamp set Owl Together Now and colored in with SU markers. We used two different sized circle punches for the sentiment and finished it off with some Old Olive ribbon. Oh, and we stamped the Almost Amethyst with the Sanded background. Love that background stamp!!

2nd card from Stamp Club!

This is the second card we did at Stamp Club Tuesday evening! I got the colors from the color wheel (of course! LOVE that tool!) except I added in Taken With Teal. But, Taken With Teal is the Duo to Tempting Turquoise, so I knew it would work, too.

Cardstock used is Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and Naturals Ivory. Ink used is Tempting Turquoise and Taken With Teal. Chocolate Chip ribbon and hemp string. We used the True Friend stamp set. And my personal favorite, the ticket corner punch.

If anyone would be interested in getting a stamp club of their own formed, please do not hesitate to contact me about it! :) How it works....ideally, there needs to be 6 people in the group. If you have 6 people in the group, you're only obligated to have to spend at least $25 every time the Stamp Club meets (that's the minimum, so the hostess can receive hostess benefits). We meet once a month and everybody takes turns being the hostess. When it's your turn to be the hostess, you can have outside orders. As for what we do at Stamp Club depends on what everyone in the club wants to do. We can have an all scrapbook page club, all card club, or a combo of both. I try and incorporate new techniques to show everyone, as well.

Have a Happy Wednesday!!

My very first Stamp Club meeting!

My very first Stamp Club meeting was tonite! Everyone was so excited, which made me really nervous! What if my projects didn't measure up to what they were expecting?! But, everyone loved them! Yay!! We decided to do a technique every time we meet. We will do 2-3 projects using that technique. Thanks for a great meeting, girls!

Tonite, we did the Grid Technique....scoring lines every 1/2" on a piece of cardstock. I love how it just adds a little bit of texture for a big wow effect and so stinkin' easy! No extra tools needed because everyone has a trimmer and a scoring blade or bone folder! (Boner as Angie likes to call it! LOL!) We did 3 cards tonite using the technique which I'll be showing on here over the next couple of days.

I wanted to take a picture of our little group tonite, but poor Angie wasn't feeling well at all. She left right after we finished up the cards. So, next time we meet in November, I'll be taking a group picture!

Here's the first card we did tonite. I have to say, this was my favorite card! I saw this cute little ladybug made from the scallop circle punch on another blog (sorry, but I'm blanking on which blog it was!) Isn't it adorable?! This was made using Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Pink Pirrouette, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose ink, and Chocolate Chip marker for the intenna. I also used the scallop edge punch, tag corner punch, and 1 1/4" circle punch. TFL!

Scrappy Slideshow.....

....sucks. My regular one hadn't been playing for about a week. So, I logged into my PB account to check it out. I see nothing but black pics!!! Logged into the forum to ask what was up. Evidently, there's something going on with some of the slideshow templates, with my fave one being one that they're having problems with. Bummer. So, this is the slideshow I'm stuck with until the problems are fixed. But, I do need to do a shout out to PhotoBucket for quick response time to my question in the forum! They answered within like 10 minutes! Pretty cool.

Just a little card

This was a card I did for a make-n-take at a SU workshop and I duplicated it to make a group of to give away at me and Tiffany's scrapbook event. It's using the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly and I LOVE this set! I got it free at convention, even! WooHoo! :)

Swap Layout

At Tiffany's Crop 'n Swap every month, we always do some sort of swap. This month was a 12x12 layout swap and this was my layout. I used some MME paper, Fancy Pants chipboard flowers, Prima flowers, Teresa Collins journaling stamp (from BYOM shopping) and some sewing. I was able to get rid of quite a few chipboard, thank goodness! I have so much chipboard, it's a little intimidating! LOL!! And, my new favorite product is the daubers from Stampin' Up! I used them to kind of distress the flowers with some brown ink. Pretty cool and easy.

Drawing prize #2

This was the second layout I did for the drawing prize.

This was made using a scrapbook kit that was offered to Hostesses in the last catalog.

And for the drawing prizes....

At our events, if you place an order, for every $5 you spend, you get a ticket to place in drawings for different handmade items. Tiffany and I do layouts that all you have to do is add your photos and sets of cards. This was one layout I did.

This was done with a scrapbook kit that was offered during Sell-a-Bration 2 years ago.

#4

First of all, let me tell ya, this layout is not crooked in real life. Who woulda thought that taking a decent picture of a perfect square would be so stinkin' difficult?!
This layout uses Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette cardstock. Sweet Always pattern paper. Always stamp set. Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette ink pads. Pumpkin Pie ribbon. Curvy square, Scallop square, scallop circle, ticket corner, scallop edge, 1 1/4" circle, and 1 3/8" circle and 3/4" square punches!!! Yes, 8 punches for 1 layout!
I think this one scared alot of people. There was alot incorporated on here....layers, punches, lots of stamping, ribbon. I couldn't help it. When left to scrap on my own, this is what my stuff usually ends up looking like! I had to throw one of those in there! LOL! And, yes, it's very girly! I couldn't help myself with that one, either. I do have 3 girls! ;) I thought I did really well with my other 3 layouts being for either girl or boy or even just for family pictures. I had to let loose!

#3

This one was well received at the event because it was so EASY!! :)

The upper left corner area is buggin' me....too much "white space". I'm going to have to brainstorm and come up with something to put up there...probably non-Stampin' Up related, so I couldn't do anything to fix it for the event.

This layout uses So Saffron, Old Olive, Sage Shadow (another fave), and Chocolate Chip cardstock. Windsor Knot pattern paper. Define Your Life, Defined Alphabet and one more stamp set that I'm blanking on the name of (I borrowed it from Tiffany). Tag corner punch. More Mustard and So Saffron ink pads. Voila! Quick and easy layout.

Another from the Scrapbook Event....

After doing this layout, I realized that I've been ignoring one fabulous color....Not Quite Navy! I think it's one of my favorite colors right now!

This layout uses Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Basic Gray cardstock. Urban Garden pattern paper. Upsy Daisy and Pocket Silhouttes stamp sets. Photo corner, 1 3/8" , 1 1/4", and scallop circle punches.

Scrapbook Event Sept. 2008

Here's one of my layouts that I did at me and Tiffany's Scrapbook Event last Saturday! I used Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, and Very Vanilla cardstock. Muirfield pattern paper and Inspired by Nature stamp set. Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain ribbon and some jumbo eyelets.
It was funny that I had a couple of people ask me if I took these photos to go with the layout! No, I didn't....if you look close enough, I have dated the pictures (like I always do in some way) as Summer 2005! Yep, these pics are 3 years old! I hate it when people say they are "so far behind". Who cares? It just means you have plenty of reasons to keep you busy scrapbooking!!! Gotta love that!
I'll be posting one layout a day on here from the event. I also did 2 layouts where I put pics on mine, and did a duplicate one without pics for drawing winners to put their own pics on and I'll post them as well.
Have a great week!

I need to get busy!!

I don't have anything else scrappy related to post! Yikes! Well, I have the 4 layouts I've done for me and Tiffany's awesome Scrapbook Event this Saturday to show off, but I can't do that yet. Not until after the Event is over!! PageMaps is having a blog contest, so I think I may try to whip something up for that...it's a half map. Not ever done a half map. And, my newest assignment for Creatively Yours is doing that same format. Wish me luck!

I'm home today with a sick kiddo. McKenna was feeling yucky last night and threw up around 9:30p. Then, proceeded to keep throwing up about every 2-3 hours all night long. Made for kind of a long night, so I called in "sick" to work today. She's sleeping on the couch right now, feeling pretty puny.

Had a great visit with Aunt Jeanne this weekend! We went and visited Christian at Georgia Tech and got to see where he lives. Went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Micah's birthday. On Sunday we went to Aunt Jeanne's church, North Point Community Church, where the main preacher guy is none other than Andy Stanley. Pretty cool. Steve and I had no idea. Our 24/7 bible study group is currently watching one of his series. The church is HUGE and is sooooo cool. Wish I had taken pictures.

That's it for now. I'll try and do something scrappy related and get back on track. I know how boring regular text posts can be! LOL!
