Love u

While my girlies were away at camp this summer, it's tradition that I make them a card and send it to them while they are away.  This is the card I made them this year!

I'm pretty sure I CASE'd this from something I pinned on Pinterest.  Easy peasy card.  Color combo is from the color coach...Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight.  The stamp is from P.S. I Love You which is retired.

For the dog lover....

This is the card I created for the monthly card swap at Tiffany's, but I can't remember what month!  The theme was a birthday card for a dog lover.  I saw this punch art doggie on someone's blog, but for the life of me can't remember who it was....I'm so sorry!  But, talk about genius!!  I don't know how those punch art goddesses do what they do.  I would never have looked at a butterfly punch and thought to use it for eyes!

I used circle punches for the lower part of face and the eyeballs.  Large oval for the top of face and ears.  And the butterfly punch (retired) for the eyes, nose and tongue.  Slot punch (retired) for the eyebrows.  The stamp set is D is for Dog and I can't remember what set the happy birthday is from.

2 posts in one day!

Hold on to your hats, folks!  2 posts in one day for me so isn't the norm, I know!  But, I was in need of some inspiration tonite and stumbled upon a design team call for a sketch blog called Sketches In Thyme.  I liked the sketches on the site, so I thought I'd give the design team a try.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch:

One of my huge-est pet peeves is the so called "duck face".  My girls totally know this and they know if they dare make it, I refuse to take their picture.  So, they were dying to do a duck face picture....so I let them....just.this.once.

I created this using Amy Teets digi kit called "Made With Love".  Everything on here is from that kit (except the fonts)!  It can be found at A Cherry On Top!

And, if you decide you'd like to try for the Sketches in Thyme DT call, you can go here to read all about it!  You must have an active blog and be on facebook, create a layout using the sketch I used above, blog about it and then link your blog post back on their site.  Comment that you'd like to be considered and leave your your email address in the comment section on the SiT blog.  And that's it!  Wish me luck! :)

Oller-bug!

Yes, I'm giving you all a break from my Disney album....you'll be thanking me considering it's 94 pages!!

This is a layout for my little buddy, Oliver.  But, he has many nicknames....Ollie, Oller-bug, Oller-baller, whatever comes to mind.  He's so stinkin' sweet and, like the layout says, he's never far from my side.

This was a free kit from Boutique Cute Dolls, but I can't remember the name of it.  Yes, it's girly stuff and Ollie is a boy, but i just couldn't help it, this was such a cute little kit!  I don't think Ollie cares too much!

Color Combo 1

At mydigitalstudio.net they started having a weekly challenge where the winner gets a free MDS download!  Well, sign me up!!  Who doesn't love FREE?!  Well, this week's challenge is to use Primrose Petal, Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait & Whisper White.  Anything goes....card, layout, hybrid, whatever floats your boat.  Well, here's my try at the challenge:

I used DSP from Patio Party and 2010 In Colors and 2010 New Colors; embellishments from Patio Party & Pinwheels on Parade; button latte button; baker's twine; staples and stitching; mis-stitched; half circle and photo corner punches; bright blooms; font is Wish I Were Taller (free from internet).

...more from Magic Kingdom...

Top layout is of the most awesomest souvenir.  Seriously.  Mara saw this at Animal Kingdom, but decided not to get it at that time.  Then we searched and searched and searched until we finally found it at MK.  It was pretty cool.  Everywhere we went, people were so fascinated by it.

Middle layout is the Mad Tea Party ride.  The girls rode with Grandpa while me, Steve and Grandma were in another tea cup.  I think the girls were trying to get Grandpa dizzy, but it never worked!  He kept up with them like a champ!

Last layout is of It's a Small World.  I couldn't decide on just a few pics, so I included just about all of them that I took!  What a classic ride.  It never gets old.

Guess it's time for some more Disney layouts....

Sorry, life is kinda crazy around here since school started up in full swing and so did the girls' extracurricular activities!  We literally are somewhere every single night, it's insane.

Top layout.  Don't look at it too hard, you'll find some mistakes (pics not lining up, elements not touching the top of the layout, etc).  But, no worries.  I saw them and fixed them all before getting it printed!  The pics of the fireworks aren't the best, but I used them anyway.  It's all about the memories!

Middle layout is the Electrical Parade.  The absolute very last thing we saw while on our Disney vacation.  I love this parade, my favorite of any of the parades.

Last layout are pics of the castle all draped in lights for the holidays.  Gorgeous.
