My very first Stamp Club meeting was tonite! Everyone was so excited, which made me really nervous! What if my projects didn't measure up to what they were expecting?! But, everyone loved them! Yay!! We decided to do a technique every time we meet. We will do 2-3 projects using that technique. Thanks for a great meeting, girls!
Tonite, we did the Grid Technique....scoring lines every 1/2" on a piece of cardstock. I love how it just adds a little bit of texture for a big wow effect and so stinkin' easy! No extra tools needed because everyone has a trimmer and a scoring blade or bone folder! (Boner as Angie likes to call it! LOL!) We did 3 cards tonite using the technique which I'll be showing on here over the next couple of days.
I wanted to take a picture of our little group tonite, but poor Angie wasn't feeling well at all. She left right after we finished up the cards. So, next time we meet in November, I'll be taking a group picture!
Here's the first card we did tonite. I have to say, this was my favorite card! I saw this cute little ladybug made from the scallop circle punch on another blog (sorry, but I'm blanking on which blog it was!) Isn't it adorable?! This was made using Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Pink Pirrouette, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose ink, and Chocolate Chip marker for the intenna. I also used the scallop edge punch, tag corner punch, and 1 1/4" circle punch. TFL!
