Another card made with the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. Basically, the same card, I just added some layers to it and some gorgeous Copper Stickles to all the leaves on the tree. It's amazing what a couple of extra layers of cardstock and little details can add to an existing card. Like Nicole always says...Love is in the details! I made this card for an old friend from high school who recently lost her Dad.
TFL and go hug your Dad or give him a call and let him know you were thinking about him.

Kasara's Birthday card and gift bag!
I'm here! Sorry it seems as though I'd forgotten about my poor little blog! I just hadn't done anything scrappy related in a while. Well, I have, but I just couldn't post them yet. It's not fair to my Stamp Clubs to post the projects they'll be doing before they even get to do them! This month we did a card, 3D project and a 12x12 layout. I had one Stamp Club last night. The next one is in 3.5 weeks yet.
Now, what I can show you is the card and "gift bag" I made for my sister's birthday this past week! They turned out so stinkin' cute!
The pattern paper I used was from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. The card itself is a Big Shot die called Movers and Shapers and it's sooooo cool! I also used the totally fabulous butterfly die. I love those pretty butterflies! The stamp set I used, I'm blanking on...it's a set that has several birthday sentiments. The stamp and punch used for the flower on the basket is from the SAB catalog and the 5 petal flower punch layered on top of the scallop circle punch. The other punch (scallop oval) and stamp "Just for You" is from the upcoming Occasions mini!! Love it! I made the little gift bag from the scallop envelope die for the Big Shot. Tiffany showed me how to make this....die cut two of the envelopes out and attach them together. So flippin' easy! I think I'm going to make these for the girls' teachers and aides for Easter and put a little baggie of candy in it. Oh, and the little silver things in the middle of the flower and butterfly are my newest obession....Dew Drops! I picked them up at the Crop for the Cure last month. TFL!!!!

Thoughts and Prayers
My last creation from the crop last weekend!! A quick Praying for You card. I used some pretty old DSP on here...I can't even remember what it's called! I used the Sizzix Big Shot Top Note Die in Naturals Ivory cardstock and used a dauber and Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. I stamped the tree image with markers...Really Rust and Chocolate Chip. I stamped Praying for You in Sahara Sand and matted it with Close to Cocoa. Lastly, I tied a bow with some Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon.

Hey, it's my Blogoversary!!!
Thanks to Teena for pointing it out or I wouldn't have even noticed!!! So, I made a blinkie just for the occasion! Not much, just a little blinkie to celebrate! :)
Make your own Blinkie
School Days
Another Crop for the Cure page. First day of school pics from this school year. Used Basic Grey Recess papers, chipboard, and die cuts. It was toward the end when I did this one, so it's nothing special, but I still kinda like it.

Who loves you?
Just another scrapbook page I got done at Crop for the Cure last weekend! This is my little niece, Jenna aka Poosers. I used the October kit from BYOM! For that month, I worked with the Halloween kit, but I loved the main kit. There was one left over last month, so I snagged it! :) I cut the black tree out freehand (about the only thing I can freehand draw and it actually look like what it's supposed to!). The owl on the branch was cut out from another piece of pattern paper in the kit. Everything is from the October kit, except the extra little piece of ribbon....it's from the March kit!

Scrapbook Event February 2009 layouts II!
And, the last 2 pages I did for the event....using Love You Much stamp set and the Candy Lane pattern paper. If this layout looks familiar, it's because I used this same sketch for a 2 page layout I did for BYOM last month! I love it and it was so easy to reproduce! The little pink strips of paper aren't just random pieces...they are actually for journaling, which I haven't gotten around to doing yet, but you get the idea!
Now, all of my layouts and Tiffany's layouts will be put into the slideshow at the right side of the screen where it's titled "Scrapbook Event Layouts". If you'd like to see a certain layout, I'm pretty sure you just click on it when it comes around and it puts it on the computer screen by itself. If that doesn't work, feel free to email me or Tiffany with what layout you're having trouble with and we can email it to you as an attachment... kjbirrell@netsurfusa.net.

Scrapbook Event February 2009 layouts!
Well, 2 of them, at least! :)
You Rock layout! Done with the Just Jawing stamp set. I love this stamp set, but it intimidates me, along with alot of other fellow scrappers and stampers, I'm sure, so that's why I wanted to use it! I love this pattern paper, Rockabilly Specialty! It has several patterns that are embossed!!! Like on my layout here, the crown paper, the cherry paper and the green stripe paper are all embossed! And, those aren't the only ones embossed....so cool!
You're One of a Kind is another layout I did for the event. I used the stamp set One of a Kind and the pattern paper I used is the so flippin' adorable Tea Party! When I first chose this paper, I was hesitant. I didn't think the colors were going to be very bright and fun, but they are much bolder and brighter in person.

More March BYOM!
These pictures were taken at my friends, Tiffany and Hillory's parent's house. We were out there with Hillory and her family for a cookout thing and the girls were dying to use the zip line and they had so much fun! Can you believe I have a total of 9 photos on here?!?!?! I think that's a record for me! And, just as I predicted, Steve LOVED this layout. He's all about as many photos as I can fit on a layout. The star journaling spot and the chipboard letters are from the extras this month, everything else is in the March kit!

Sweet blog candy @ Anderson Arts!
Some sweet blog candy.....acrylic stamps! And so stinkin' cute! Check it out! Reply if you like acrylic or rubber stamps in her post. Then peruse the rest of her blog for her stunning card creations and jewelry (she takes orders!!)! I know I said this last week, but Nicole is seriously too generous!!!
March '09 BYOM kit!!
Blow Me A Kiss is of my cutie patootie nephew, Asher! I love the shaped paper for this! That is one thing I love about BYOM...they always have some sort of shaped cardstock or pattern paper in their kit. Too cool. Everything on here is from the kit or extras for the month, except for the red ribbon. The journaling spot is an extra and it's from Jenni Bowlin and the A is an adhesive chipboard letter from the extras as well.
